Agreement

By accessing or using PennyFinch (pennyfinch.com), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

PennyFinch is a personal-finance dashboard that connects your financial accounts (via Plaid) to show balances, transactions, spending, net worth, recurring charges, and related insights.

Beta

PennyFinch is currently offered as a closed, invite-only beta. The service is provided "as is" and "as available," may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued, and may contain errors. Features and pricing may change.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. The service is currently intended for U.S. financial institutions and residents. [REPLACE: adjust if you support other regions.]

Your account and access codes

You are responsible for your login credentials and all activity under your account. Keep them secure and notify us of any unauthorized use.

Beta access requires an invite code. Do not share, sell, or misuse invite codes.

Third-party services

PennyFinch relies on third parties including Plaid (bank connectivity) and PayPal (payments). Your use of connected financial accounts and these services is also subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services or your financial institutions.

Subscriptions and billing

After any free or beta period, PennyFinch may be offered as a paid subscription (currently $3/month after a 14-day free trial, with a 30-day money-back guarantee). Beta members may receive free access. We may change pricing and will provide notice. Subscriptions are billed through PayPal and renew until canceled; you may cancel anytime. Note: if you connect accounts using your own Plaid API keys, that "bring your own keys" tier is free.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service unlawfully; do not attempt to access other users' data; do not reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the service; do not scrape it with automated tools; and do not upload malicious code.

Financial disclaimer

PennyFinch is an informational tool, not a financial, investment, tax, or legal advisor. Data shown may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate, as it depends on your institutions and Plaid. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for financial decisions; you are responsible for your decisions.

Intellectual property

PennyFinch and its content are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the service. Your financial data remains yours.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PennyFinch and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service or from inaccuracies in financial data.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PennyFinch from any claims arising out of your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access (including beta access) at any time, with or without cause. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [REPLACE: your state/country], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
